Released flexVDI manager 3.1.3

Changes since 3.1.2

  • Support cache option for disk images, enabling writethrough for better performance. This requires flexvdi-agent 3.1.3 to work.
  • Pool resource allocation from hosts is now deterministic, avoiding spurious vm migrations after rebalancing resources or booting flexVDI manager.
  • Fixed: Pools with larger granularity get resources before others with the same priority.
  • Better logging:
    • Date is written in log lines.
    • Added detail to several messages.
    • Fixed priority of some messages (errors that were only warnings)
  • Fixed: do not stop guests in some error conditions.

We’ve just released version 2.2.53 of flexVDIClient for windows

It includes the new spice client library v0.34 (updated from v0.29 in previous versions), which improves stability. Besides, both audio and video playback has been delegated to GStreamer, with lower playback delays and improved performance.

As always, the latest installer can be downloaded from flexvdi.com

We’ve just released version 2.2.52 of flexVDIClient for windows

We have released flexVDI 2.2.52 for windows, which includes the following enhancements and fixes:

  • Stores the terminal ID in the config file, so that it will not change, and make our platform it is a new terminal (Windows 10 sometimes changes network MACs, which resulted in different terminal ids).
  • Adds a new icon in the program group called “flexVDI app Client”, that behaves as an application, instead of as a desktop, when user enters Alt+Tab: Alt+Tab changes the application in the local desktop.
  • In login screen, focus password field when username is pre-filled.
  • flexVDI now keeps in the same screen when it is maximized.

As always, the latest installer can be downloaded from flexvdi.com
